Massage therapy can be an important part of your health maintenance plan by:
Reducing or eliminating pain
Improving joint mobility
Improving circulation
Improving lymphatic drainage
Reducing muscular tension
Massage therapy can be used for the treatment of both acute and chronic conditions. RMTs can work with a wide variety of patients, of all ages, in the treatment of illness, injury rehabilitation and disability.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage is a form of treatment that relieves tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries.
Swedish Massage
Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of massage. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading and gliding to help the body improve its circulation. Swedish massage not only helps with relaxation but it also helps relieve muscle tension, fatigue, depression, anxiety. It is also used as an integral part of pain management protocols for sports injuries and chronic pain.
Medical Massage
With Medical Massage the treatment is specifically directed to resolve conditions diagnosed by a medical doctor. Medical massage enhances the body’s natural self-healing process and reduces the needed recovery time from injury.
Sports Massage
Sports Massage is a type of massage designed for highly active people who engage in athletics. Sports Massage enhances performance and prolongs a sports career by helping to prevent injury, reduce pains and swelling in the body, increase flexibility, and dramatically improve recovery rates. Sports Massage is also highly effective in aiding the rapid recovery of an athlete from an injury by encouraging greater kinesthetic awareness and in turn promoting the body’s natural immune function.
Prenatal Massage
Prenatal massage helps relieve increased stress on your back, neck, shoulders and abdominal muscles. A body/pregnancy pillow system is used to allow you to lie comfortably, flat and fully supported during the treatment.
